We recently received a grant from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK; 1R01DK078798) designed to test the efficacy of an intervention to prevent the transition to obesity among overweight women. The grant will use a socioculturally-appropriate approach, delivered to participants through several new media modalities over an 18-month period.

Over the next few months, we’ll be hiring for a number of positions at our new home at Duke University. If you’re interested in working (and playing) hard while discovering new approaches for curbing the obesity epidemic, drop us a line. We’ll post specific job announcements as they emerge. In the meantime, send your cover letter and resume/cv to us at jobs@bennettlab.org
I am very pleased to announce that I’ve accepted a position at Duke University, to begin in January 2009. This is a very bittersweet moment for me, as I’ve really enjoyed my time at HSPH and DFCI. Moving to Duke however, represents a major opportunity for the BennettLab to expand our work investigating strategies to reduce obesity among those most affected.
If you have any questions about the move, please let us know!
